Emmy Award winner Jeff Daniels will star in the limited series based on Tom Wolfe’s bestselling book. David E. Kelley is adapting the novel and will executive produce alongside Regina King.
Published in 1998, A full man tells the story of Charlie Croker (Daniels), an Atlanta real estate mogul who is facing sudden bankruptcy. Political and business interests clash as Charlie defends his empire from those who try to take advantage of his demise from grace, but the rude, rude, and careless Charlie defends it against all odds. both participants – at any cost.
The project marks the return to Netflix of Daniels, who won an Emmy for the streamer’s limited series Atheist in 2018.
Prolific Kelley (by Netflix Anatomy of a scandal and coming soon Attorney Lincoln) will act as showrunner. King, whose work at Netflix includes The Harder They Fall and Seven Seconds, is set to direct three of the six episodes in addition to executive producing through her Royal Ties Productions. Kelley’s producing partner Mark Tinker is also an EP.
Daniels coming to Showtime’s American Rust. His TV credits include Comey’s Rule (also at Showtime), HBO’s Newsroom and Looming Tower at Hulu; He also recently reprised the role of Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird on Broadway.
