When the Warriors Collection Event was released on March 29, the accompanying update had the unintended side effect of suddenly making using Wattson, Rampart, and Pathfinder’s abilities incredibly difficult. Unnecessary, requires placing an object while playing on Storm Point.
Just push a @PlayApex Update address:
– Attached to abilities that can be placed on Storm Point.
-Third party controllers do not work on Xbox Series X | S.
-Fixed various next-gen consoles, Controls and Bangalore Story Events.
– Rework (@Respawn) April 11, 2022
This means that you can try to put Rampart’s Amped Wall on the ground or shoot Pathfinder’s Zipline Gun at the wall and the game will register slots normally if not available, preventing the player from using abilities this.
This was a particularly heavy, though unintentional, nerf for Wattson, who total kits depend on the intended placement of the Perimeter Security tactical ability and the ultimate ability of the Interceptor Turret. Without reliable access, she was essentially unplayable on Storm Point for the entire two-week event.
This hotfix also fixes issues related to the The Williams Sendoff story event, as well as various issues with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions | Apex Legends’ S.
The Warrior Collection event ends tomorrow, April 12th. That means this is your last chance to complete the event rewards and unlock the cosmetics included in it. Huge Apex Legends leak. The leak also indicates Newcastle and a Storm Point map change is coming in Season 13, both of which appear to have been confirmed then based on recent teasers from Respawn.
