New Brunswick officials hold press conference on children’s COVID-19 vaccines – New Brunswick
New Brunswick health officials will hold a news conference late Tuesday morning to discuss the province’s plan to immunize children ages five to 11 against COVID-19.
The event kicks off at 11:30 a.m. and will be streamed live here. Health Minister Dorothy Shephard and chief medical officer, Dr Jennifer Russell, will join a pediatrician.

The province previously said it would receive the first batch of Pfizer vaccines for children on Tuesday and expected the first doses by the end of the week.
About 54,500 children will be eligible to receive this vaccine.
Immunizations will be administered through community clinics and regional health agency pharmacies.
As of Monday, 87.5% of eligible New Brunswickers were fully immunized and 93.4% had their first dose.
