New Brunswick to host COVID-19 briefing on Thursday – New Brunswick
New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs and Health Department Chief Medical Officer Dr Jennifer Russell are scheduled to hold a COVID-19 press conference on Thursday afternoon.
The event kicks off at 2:30pm and will be streamed live here.
On Wednesday, the province reported a spike in hospitalizations as the number of people hospitalized rose to 30. More than half of them were in intensive care.

As of Wednesday, there were 565 active cases.
The province says 87% of eligible New Brunswickers are fully immunized against COVID-19 and 93.2% have received their first dose.
Booster doses are offered to a number of different groups, including residents of First Nations communities, healthcare workers, people 65 years of age and older, and people who have received the AstraZeneca vaccine.
