New Brunswick will hold a COVID-19 update on Friday afternoon – New Brunswick

New Brunswick Health Minister Dorothy Shephard and chief medical officer Dr Jennifer Russell are scheduled to hold a COVID-19 briefing on Friday afternoon.

The event kicks off at 2:30pm and will be streamed live here.

As of Thursday, the province has 691 active COVID-19 cases.

Shephard has previously said that people should pause vacation planning for now, as the number of new cases remains high and community transmission continues.

“We don’t want to cancel Christmas,” Shephard said on Thursday.
