New free update of Gran Turismo 7 includes Ford Model Roadster
There is a new free update for Gran Turismo 7, and it includes some new cars and a new international circuit. The content has been shared on the official Sony site along with a short trailer showcasing the new games in action.
The first car was the Suzuki V6 Escudo Pikes Peak Special ’98, a “monster machine specially developed to compete in the most extreme conditions for any racing car in conquering the dangerous hill climb.” The second car is the Suzuki Vision Gran Turismo Edition (Gr.3), which is more of a typical race car than you’d expect. Gran Turismo 7.
The last car is a much older version: 1932 Ford Roadster. This is a true antique car and a direct descendant of the carriage. I’m not sure how well it will perform against the competition, but it’s nice to drive a piece of history.
Players can also race on Watkins Glen International, a historic street in New York State. It’s a winding track with varying speeds, including a long bank stretch along the Outer Loop and a technical stretch known as The Boot.
The game also adds three new Menu Books that the player can pick up at the Gran Turismo Café. The Book menu is a list of challenges, including owning specific vehicles, winning the top three, or completing mini-quests around the track. These Menu Books unlock cars, roulette tickets, and new tracks.
