SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ (CBS) – New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy sent a powerful message of solidarity to the Ukrainian people. He attended a vigil in Somerset County Monday night to show that the people of New Jersey stand with the war-torn country.
“I promise each one of you, I like the woman who said at the gas station, ‘We’re all Ukrainians tonight,’” Murphy said. “We’re all Ukrainians every night from here until, God willing, an end to many survivors and good health can happen.”
New Jersey has one of the largest Ukrainian communities in the country.
