New York Yankees cut Michael King off for the season after injuring his elbow, sources confirm



New York Yankees reliever medicine Michael King will miss the rest of the 2022 season after breaking his right elbow in a game against the Baltimore Orioles on Friday, sources confirmed to ESPN.

The right-handed king escaped in the eighth round after throwing for Baltimore Orioles third warrior Ramon Urias.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone did not reveal King’s status after the game, a Wins New York 7-6but has expressed her interest in him.

“He’s one of the best pitchers in the league,” Boone told reporters. “I hope and pray for the best for King.”

The New York Post first reported about the severity of King’s injuries.

Right-handed people Jameson Taillon said the Yankees’ mood was “sader” than King’s after the game.

“He’s a hard worker. I know he’s going to come back here and go back to his old position,” Taillon told reporters. “It’s never easy to see a guy walk off the field. You think about his girlfriend and his family watching. It’s not easy for anyone.”

King, 27, hit a career-best 2.29 ERA this season with a 6-3 record, one save and 16 holds in 34 appearances.
