Players across the NFL are traded and moved all the time, which is evident during the wild 2022 season. Superstar talents such as Davante Adams, Russell Wilsonand Tireek Hill they’ve moved on to blockbuster deals, but they’ve all been traded under the reluctance of the selling team. This could be because the player has become too expensive, or perhaps they are simply not satisfied with their situation.
Alas, there are plenty of examples of players who may find themselves trading this NFL season, and boy, do they need it! We’re talking about players who don’t fit in with their current franchise or would perform better in a new team. Here are three such examples.
Kareem Hunt has established himself as one of the best wingers in football over the past five years, so it’s surprising to see him stuck at RB2 for the Cleveland Browns for so long. Hunt was second in command to support Nick Chubb, as the two made the best duo in the NFL.
Hunt led the NFL in rushing in his rookie year in 2017 as a member of the Chief of Kansas City before he was released after an issue off the field, where he appeared to kick a woman.
Hunt was picked by the Browns in 2019 and, after forming a duo with Chubb, requested a swap out of Cleveland in August 2022. At just 27 years old, Hunt has plenty of good football left and will start a series NFL teams.
#2 – Tony Pollard
Speaking of the above-average second-string defender, returning Dallas Cowboys Tony Pollard could be another player who can make do with a fresh start. Stuck in the back Ezekiel Elliott On the depth chart, Pollard has impressed whenever he plays, averaging 5.5 yards per take.
Pollard also ran for 719 yards in 2021 but was dropped from the starting line-up by Elliott, with whom the Cowboys have become one of the most expensive full-backs in football.
Elliott can only manage 4.2 yards per execution in 2021, showing just how expendable he can be. However, Jerry Jones signed Elliott to a six-year, $90 million contract in 2019, locking him in through 2027. This leaves little room for Pollard to excel in Dallas, so he does. should be looking for a place to start in the NFL for the upcoming Season.
#3 – Daniel Jones
If the upcoming drama from the New York Giants offseason practice continues, it will be another painful NFL season for quarterback Daniel Jones and the G-men. In fact, Jones’ throws almost always end up in the hands of defenders, and he’s clearly not from New York.
He hasn’t won more than five games in a season and has been on a massive slump after a solid rookie campaign in 2019.
The Giants didn’t provide Jones with much competition for a starting stop, which may be why he’s been underwhelming for so long. But clearly this couple needs to separate. Perhaps Jones might be better suited to the role of fighting for a starting berth in a competitive franchise than being guaranteed a start on a shoddy team.
