The biggest Pro Bowl bowl 2022
On the AFC side, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was one of the biggest surprises for this year’s Pro Bowl. He’s thrown 3,640 yards this season, marking eighth place in the NFL. However, he threw 14 interceptions, the most important in the NFL this season, so that’s probably the main reason why he wasn’t picked on the initial roster. He’s on the replacement list.
With the AFC stepping back, it’s surprising that Chargers Austin Ekeler isn’t on the roster. Ekeler has scored 17 touchdowns this season, second behind Jonathan Taylor.
Although Derrick Henry hasn’t played since Week 8, it would be hard not to have his name on the roster this season.
On the NFC side, Matthew Stafford is another surprising full-back not on the list. Still, it makes perfect sense when comparing him to Brady, Rodgers and Murray (who are all top NFL MVP athletes), but the Rams’ record is tied with the Cardinals right now. Stafford has certainly proved himself worthy of the nod on the Pro Bowl list while in Los Angeles this season. He’s had 4,142 yards of passing with three games left – this is the season he’s passed since 2017.
Falcons rerun Cordarrelle Patterson is having the best season of his ninth NFL season. So far, he’s had 565 yards of dash and five touchdowns. These numbers equate to more than any of his previous seasons. In addition, Leonard Fournette, although currently out due to a hamstring injury, but this season, he is close to achieving a career high and taking the field.
Here is a list of the remaining players who were very close to the cut, according to the NFL: Patriots Center David Andrews, Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin, Raiders Edge Yannick Ngakoue, Kene Nwangwu, returning Vikings player, Titans paternal defender Jeffery Simmons, Broncos safety Justin Simmons, Broncos fullback Patrick Surtain II, Falcons corner AJ Terrell, Browns center JC Tretter, full-back Bobby Okereke, Patriots defender Shaq Mason, Vikings defender Eric Kendricks, full-back De’Vondre Campbell, wide-collector Mike Williams, wide-collector Steelers Diontae Johnson, Vikings defender Kirk Cousins, Titans next to Harold Landry, Center Head Creed Humphrey.
NFL Teams with the Most Pro Bowl Picks
The Colts finished with the most Pro Bowl picks with seven players. The Chiefs and Officers followed with six options. There are six teams with no roster selection: Broncos, Giants, Jaguars, Jets, Lions, and Texans.
