NFL Week 1 Betting Cheat Sheet: How to Win? You choose to go

Sunday is coming and we’ve provided you with the betting angles, notes and picks for every NFL Week 1 game.

Baltimore Ravens @ New York Jets

Spread: Baltimore -7

Total: 44 points

Joe Flacco will start in front of his old team in place of the injured Zach Wilson, and if this were a home game in Baltimore, we could be in the Jets. Instead, we bet on Lamar Jackson, Will he sign a new contract?, start the new year strong. In the four Week 1s Jackson has had, Raven is averaging 42.75 points.

Bet: Crow over 26.5 points (-115 DK)

Indianapolis Colts @ Houston Texans

Spread: Indianapolis -7

Total: 46 points

The Colts will be able to handle the business against a weak Texas defense, relying on Jonathan Taylor for another big season. It’s ridiculous how bad Taylor’s odds are to score this weekend, -240 to -320 on most books. Houston is a generous team in its handling of return encounters, but regardless, let’s attack the books in a different way. Nyheim Hines is the reserve running back, and is expected to have a solid role as the third returning player in this offense. While the squares place Taylor in their touchdowns, bet on their heartbreak as his fallback.

Bet: Nyheim Hines TD (+325 CZR)

New England Patriots @ Miami Dolphins

Spread: Miami -3.5

Total: 46.5 points

The Dolphins had the late Patriots, wiping them out last season and winning three in a row. With the weapons added this season, hopes are high for Miami. We’re counting on Tua overtaking Jones in the battle of Bama’s ex-midfielders.

Bet: Dolphin -3.5

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cincinnati Bengals

Spread: Cincinnati -6.5

Total: 44 points

The Bengals beat the Steelers by a total of 45 points in two games last season, and with a dense offensive line, this aerial attack from Cincy will have a way to go against opponents at the start of the year. Congratulations to Mitch Trubisky on his chance to revive his career in Pittsburgh, but we’re betting on an easy opener at home for the defending champions AFC Champs.

Bet: Bengals -6.5

San Francisco 49ers @ Chicago Bears

Spread: San Francisco -7

Total: 40 points

This game could quietly be one of the more fun Sunday contests. We have two young, mobile midfielders in Trey Lance and Justin Fields, and something about a QB that uses more feet than expected can open up some channels of chaos. We see both of these as potentially vulnerable, that’s why we bet on some long reception props. We bet both the creators of Fields and Lance score in a fun, ugly game.

Bet: Over 40 points

Philadelphia Eagles @ Detroit Lions

Spread: Philadelphia -4

Total: 48.5 points

This 4-point spread is surprising us. Is this really because people have seen Dan Campbell’s inner cry on Hard Knocks weekly? Detroit is the All-Pro hub and their right guardian. Big boy Jordan Davis, along with Pro Bowl DTs Fletcher Cox and Javon Hargrave, will wreak havoc on Detroit. Explosive potential, let’s make a spread instead.

Bet: Eagles -9.5 (+180 DK)

New Orleans Saints @ Atlanta Falcons

Spread: New Orleans -5.5

Total: 43 points

The majority were created by Kyle Pitts that only found the end zone once as a rookie. Pitts is the clear top receiver in Atlanta and with New Orleans running into some secondary problem, we’re thinking the Pitts have a big game on Sunday. Matching last season’s total touchdowns is a good start.

Bet: Kyle Pitts TD (+230 FD)

Cleveland Browns @ Carolina Panthers

Spread: Select them

Total: 42 points

We’re excited to see what Baker Mayfield will do against his former team. It might be a little bit of everything, but we think the Panthers will win. Let’s cover our base with good Baker and bad Baker and load up an interesting SGP for this match.

Bet: Baker Mayfield 1+ INT, 1+ TD pass, Panthers ML (+310 DK)

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Washington Commanders

Spread: Washington -2.5

Total: 44 points

This second place in Jacksonville will likely be a problem this season, and who better to take advantage of than Terry McLaurin? McLaurin works in the mid-to-deep ranges of the pitch, and is potentially the best full-back he has ever worked throwing for him, which is a low we concede. McLaurin has gone more than 60 meters in eight games this year and will have some big games on Sunday.

Bet: Terry McLaurin more than 58.5 points get (-130 DK)

New York Giants @ Tennessee Titans

Spread: Tennessee -5.5

Total: 44 points

The Giants have a new mode in town featuring Brian Daboll from Buffalo. Daboll isn’t afraid to use Josh Allen’s legs as a weapon, and Daniel Jones has shown he can move out of a pocket and pick up meters off the ground. It’s a bit of a blind move, but we think Jones will have a couple of runs against the Titans, and we have a fair pass for the Giants midfield.

Bet: Daniel Jones on 19.5 yards dash (-115 DK)

Las Vegas Raiders @ Los Angeles Charger

Spread: Los Angeles -3.5

Total: 52.5 points

This game is considered an absolute treat from start to finish. Last year’s season finale saw the Raiders win 35-32 in extra time and with one of the highest totals of the day, a repeat show is predicted. Both offenses are among the highest scored in the league, with much of the work done online. It’s hard to believe, but expect to see more of these games on RedZone this weekend.

Bet: Over 52.5 points

Kansas City Chiefs @ Arizona Cardinals

Spread: Kansas City -6

Total: 54 points

The Cardinals usually start hot before faltering, but with some trauma to key strike contributors in Zach Ertz and Rondale Moore, it’s hard to envision Arizona ever keeping up with Kansas City. Captains tend to be hot, averaging 36.3 points per game in their past four Week 1 games. We’ll bet on that continuing.

Bet: Head of Department -6

Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings

Spread: Green Bay -1.5

Total: 47 points

This is a modest difference in favor of a team with an elite defense and a quartet of MVP defenders. Where would this number be if Green Bay still had Davante Adams? We have a feeling the Packers run the business against their rivals and divisions, and we keep an eye on Sammy Watkins finding an end to his Packers debut. Rodgers has been pretty free his new collection this summer and the Vikings allowed the sixth most collectors last season.

Bet: Sammy Watkins TD (+295 DK)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Dallas Cowboys

Spread: Tampa Bay -2.5

Total: 50.5 points

For the second consecutive season, the Bucs and Cowboys will play in Week 1. Tampa Bay was sneaked by Dallas last season, and this season you will have a more comfortable winning feeling. The loss of LT star Tyron Smith could not be underestimated for the Cowboys. With Michael Gallup still on the mend, this is one of the weakest supporting roles Dak Prescott has ever had.

Bet: Buccaneers -2.5

Denver Broncos @ Seattle Seahawks

Spread: Denver -6.5

Total: 45 points

Russell Wilson’s return home will be in the spotlight for Monday Night Football, and it’s not much of a game. Denver is a much better team on both ends, and Wilson is a better team than the Seahawks at QB Geno Smith. This can get ugly.

Bet: Broncos -6.5
