NIA files charges against 3 suspects in connection with Khejuri . bomb explosion
The NIA has filed an indictment against three people in connection with a bomb blast in West Bengal’s Khejuri.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday filed charges before a special court in Kolkata against three people charged with their involvement in the Khejuri bomb blast.
Charges were filed against Samar Shankar Mandal, Ratan Pramanik, Kankan Karan and Anup Das. The charges against Anup Das were dropped due to his death.
Investigations revealed that the four defendants were involved in a criminal conspiracy to prepare explosives resembling crude bombs. Further investigations into the case are underway.
CASE
On January 3, 2022, a bomb exploded in the home of defendant Kankan Karan, a resident of Paschim Bhanganmari village.
While defendant Kankan Karan was severely injured in the explosion, another person struggled with his injuries.
A case was filed at Khejuri Police Station in East Medinipur on 4 January and the NIA took over the investigation on 25 January.
