Nintendo introduces Lucina in Fire Emblem Engage
We’re at the end of 2022 now, and that means Nintendo’s next big first-party release Fire Emblem joins Just around the corner. Yes, in case you missed it, the title launches on Switch on January 20th – so we’re only a few weeks away!
Nintendo has continued to introduce (and re-introduce) the characters one by one, and the latest marks the return of Lucina. This character first appeared in the Nintendo 3DS game in 2012 Fire Symbol: Awakening. Here’s a bit about her in the latest game (translated by @SatsumaFS), along with a look at her in battle:
Lucina’s Synchro skill, Dual Strike, allows anyone to have Chain Attacks regardless of their rank. The farther your attack range is, the more chances you have of a Chain Attack.
Lucina’s Engage Weapon, Noble Rapier, deals massive damage to Cavalry and Armored enemies.
Lucina’s Join skill, Link Shield, has a high chance of nullifying damage aimed at adjacent allies. When used by a Martial arts style unit, this chance is 100%.
Lucina’s Join Technique, All for One, allows all allies within 2 squares to participate in a Chain Attack. Depending on your squad, you can have all your allies join the attack.
In Fire Emblem Engage, players will be able to summon and battle alongside legendary heroes from previous Fire Emblem games. In addition to Lucina, there will be characters like Marth and Celica returning. You can check out our Nintendo Life guide to see who else will be on the Fire Emblem Engage cast:
