Have you ever resented the capabilities of your Mii CPU rivals in Wii Sports that you want nothing more than to engage them in a swordfight? Well, today is your lucky day!

A button code has been added Nintendo Switch Sportsand it allows you to do that. Seems to be included in the latest update of the gameYou can now challenge some of the franchise’s most notorious opponents – yes, we’re watching you Matt – in offline mode. This time, it’s personal.

Like many games before it, this option is provided via a sneaky button code that you will have to enter when choosing your event difficulty. As pointed out by @OatmealDome On Twitter, you are required to press both L and ZL (or R and ZR) at this stage to be able to face your enemies in battle.

Playing with Switch Sports’ updated-looking Miis is all well and good for those new to the game, but this opposite option to bring Matt into retirement gives the game a much-needed nostalgia spin. – at least, that’s what our competitive spirit tells us.

Are you excited to make this new competitor pick? Let us know your personal Mii aversion in the comments!
