Nintendo warns fans of fake websites impersonating the company, announces action
Nintendo has released a statement warning consumers about fake websites designed to look like the company’s online store, outlining the dangers of submitting your details to sites that web.
The statement (in Japanese) talks about a specific case that has just been discovered by the company; The fake website in question illegally uses the Nintendo logo, making it appear to be the real thing, and offers Nintendo Switch products at a discounted price. It is warned that the fake website, not affiliated with, has “nothing to do with” Nintendo.
