Northampton 2 – 1 Stockport
Northampton came from a single goal to beat Stockport 2-1 and land four straight wins on the Sky Bet League.
Fraser Horsfall scored against his former club to give the visitors the first half lead but Sam Hoskins scored his 11th goal of the season before Harvey Lintott’s first professional goal took all three points for home team.
Stockport started off brilliantly and they paid off in the 12th minute when Ryan Johnson’s cut-off eased for Horsfall after Kyle Wootton’s header hit the crossbar.
The home side were strangely subdued and tried to create an offensive game, concentrating only two shots in the first 45 minutes, both of which were easily saved.
But they were another team in the second half and flew off the field when Hoskins headed home an equalizer from the edge of the box just three minutes into the restart.
Northampton completed the turn just after the hour when Lintott was too much vacant to head Mitch Pinnock’s corner.
Danny Hylton’s header hit the post before Stockport’s misery stacked up as Akil Wright received a second yellow card in stoppage time.
