Okanagan Forest Task Force is recognized by Conservation Officer Service – Okanagan
About 60 volunteers with the Okanagan Forest Process Power cleaned up tons of rubbish from crown land alongside Beaver Lake Highway on Sunday.
“We’ve been doing cleanups since 2016 and 360 thousand kilos of rubbish has been faraway from the backcountry,” stated Kane Blake, Okanagan Forest Process Power President.
The Process Power took on the job of cleansing up the backcountry as a result of it appeared nobody else was doing it.
“It’s astounding how a lot crap we’re pulling out of the forest,” stated volunteer Corinna Stobb. “It’s sort of sickening.”

For all the work that’s been put in through the years, the Conservation Officer Service of B.C. honoured the Okanagan Forest Process Power, all of its volunteers and sponsors, with a Particular Recognition Award.
“To get some recognition for all the group is fantastic”, Blake stated.
