Old Navy I Editor Review High-waisted Pants

The second time I slipped in Old Navy high-waisted flare jeans In May, I knew I was officially a best seller in the slit pants trend. They add a level of luxury appeal that I have come to love, which is exactly how I recently ended up with the brand. Super high-waisted front slit skinny Stevie pants ($40) in my cart too. They caught my eye while searching for a retailer new goods in november, and given how much I love the aforementioned denim, I knew I had to try this pro style, too. My honest thoughts on them ahead.

What I like about these pants

I’m wearing these pants as I type this, and oh, they feel comfortable. Their rayon blend really feels like sweatpants, but they’re perfectly suited to professional work environments. I paired them with a pair of my favorite brown heels, a jumpsuit, and a blazer to give them a first try, but I think they’ll look equally cute with a sneakers or high heels. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I love multi-wardrobe finds, and these items definitely fit in all the boxes.

What’s remarkable about these pants

As perfect as these pants are in style and material, it can take some trial and error to achieve the perfect fit. I ordered my regular size, medium and they fit perfectly past the shin but a bit oversized at the waist. To me, they’re not too big to be worn or uncomfortable, but this is something you might experience if you choose to buy them.

After going through the reviews on the brand’s website, I learned that the majority of shoppers have a positive experience considering their size, but a small percentage of shoppers find them to be too long and therefore returned them. For that reason, we recommend trying them out at the store if you get the chance.

Finally, some shoppers expect these to fit more traditional pants than leggings. IMO, they are a unique combination of the two. They’re made of the same thick material as work pants, but fit around the thighs like leggings. I think it’s up to personal preference to decide if it’s the right fit and material for you, but know that I’m a fan.

Who are these pants best suited for?

These pants are best for those who want to try modern style with a classic look. Since they’re so versatile, there’s no real risk in adding them to your wardrobe, especially if you’re planning to upgrade your wardrobe with a few new raised bottom pants.

Additional details

  • These pants come in sizes XS–4X.
  • They also come in a chocolate brown color known as “French Roast”.
  • To clean them, the brand recommends machine washing them on a cold gentle cycle and drying them.
