Customer requests shaped this fruitless development of the Chiron: Bugatti explained that its customers had requested a more compact version of the Chiron. The designers gave the coupe a new aerodynamic profile, characterized by wider air intakes and a larger grille at the front, a redesigned front splitter and a relatively large rear spoiler. small with a hollow middle. The distinctive shape of the wing was chosen because it adds stability by providing downforce at the rear while also providing hot air passages out of the engine compartment.
Bugatti also made changes to the steering and suspension, and gave the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission a 15% shorter gear ratio. Executives had planned to limit production of the Profile to 30 units but ultimately had to cancel the project.
Bugatti President Christophe Piochon explained: “We started designing and developing the Chiron Profilée in the fall of 2020. By the time we saw the pre-production car coming to an end of production, all Chiron positions were limited. only 500 have been assigned.”
Profilée production was never launched, but the only model built is completely street-legal in European markets. It is finished with a silver color called Argent Atlantique created specifically for it, and the bottom of the car is bare. carbon fiber it is tinged with Bleu Royal Carbon. Inside, the Profilée is the first Chiron to feature woven leather on the dashboard, center console and door panels. Bugatti notes that finishing the interior requires the use of more than 2,600 meters of leather strips. The cabin is equipped with a pair of comfortable seats.
