One Thing That Made LeBron James This Season: His Watch
Welcome to Clock of the weekwhere we’ll be tracking the rarest, wildest and most coveted watches spotted on celebrities.
Well, this is not the season LeBron James and his Los Angeles Lakers were hoping for. But! what amazed me the most even in a down season was his clock rotation: Tiffany Patek Philippe Nautilus Dialthe Rolex Oyster Perpetual in Tiffany Blue (unofficial)assassin Richard Millesand Tested Audemars Piguets. James’s cherry-on-top is this AP Royal Oak 50th Anniversary Edition.
Like it sounds, this special edition Royal Oak was released recently to celebrate the model’s 50th birthday. It has a yellow-gold case with a “smoked” dial – the yellow gold in the center disappears into a black streak that runs along the bezel of the dial. A representative for the brand said that James was the first person, at least in the US, to wear a watch in public. Add that to James’ GOAT profile. Another thing I like about this watch is how it fits into the Lakers universe — not just because the Lakers wear gold and purple, but because it’s so gaudy, Showtime! Victory time, new HBO show about the founding of the Lakers dynasty, full of gold watches about characters like Jerry West and Norm Nixon. Even if his season didn’t end the way he expected, at least LeBron got it. Also this week, Barack Obama, Baby Keem, and Rafael Nadal are next.

Barack Obama’s Rolex Cellini Watch
Today, most Rolex fans are drawn to the brand’s attractive sports models such as the Submariner, GMT, and Daytona. The one wearing the Cellini Crown, however, has at least one important co-signer, Barack Obama. This is an important event for Obama. He wore it to the White House this week — and it’s the same thing he’s wearing in official presidential portrait.

Baby Keem’s Rolex GMT-Master II Watch
In Baby Keem’s now Grammy-winning track “Family Ties,” Kendrick Lamar declares his allegiance to “the Rollie gang.” So it was fitting that Keem wore an excellent Rolex GMT to receive the trophy. The black and brown GMT called Root Beer is currently trending in the Rolex universe— Tudor owned by Rolex just announced that is Private GMT with this color combination.

Blake Griffin’s Patek Philippe Aquanaut Watch
Like the Keem, Griffin wears a more luxurious traditional stainless steel sport watch in rose gold. Brooklyn Net has a thing for these warm gold watches: he showed off His Root Beer GMT at the beginning of this season.

Carlos Alcaraz Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Watch
18-year-old tennis player Alcaraz is hailed as the next Rafael Nadal despite the fact that the two have very little in common other than their Hispanic heritage. Among their differentiators is their watch preference. Nadal is a longtime man of Richard Mille who has collaborated on special edition products, while Alcaraz is following a more traditional route for great players. After winning the Miami Open last weekend, Alcaraz was seen wearing a Rolex Daytona. In that sense, at least, Alcaraz is like the next Roger Federer.
