OPEC+ agrees to stick to oil production plan, defying U.S. pressure

OPEC and its oil-producing allies have agreed to proceed with their present output plan, deciding in opposition to loosening the faucets within the face of multi-year highs in crude costs and U.S. strain to assist cool the market.
The group, generally known as OPEC+, will rollover its August program to regularly improve oil manufacturing by 400,000 barrels per day every month.
