Oppo invites testers for ColorOS 13 Public Beta; Closing August 4th: All details
The recruitment of ColorOS 13 public beta has been announced by Oppo for three smartphone models in certain markets. The new version of ColorOS will be based on Android 13. Oppo Find X5, Find X5 Pro and Find N owners can register themselves as beta testers starting today until August 4. The app will be available for purchase. review within five business days. Public beta testers will receive the ColorOS 13 Beta as an OTA update that will be rolled out by Oppo in batches once the review is complete.
Oppo is inviting applications for ColorOS 13 public beta based on Android 13. Chinese smartphone brands have announced that Oppo Find X5 users in the United Arab Emirates and France (unlocked models) and Oppo Find X5 Pro Users in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, France (unlocked model) and Australia (unlocked model) can now start signing up to be testers for the first beta version of ColorOS 13. The company also invite owners of these two smartphones in China.
Oppo Find Women Users in China can also start signing up for the upcoming public beta of ColorOS 13, the company announced. Eligible users can start signing up from today, and applications will close on August 4. Oppo will review applications and select beta testers within five business days. The first public beta of ColorOS 13 will be rolled out via an OTA update. Oppo will only register 1,000 users at this time. More beta testers may be included for future versions.

Oppo Find X5, Find X5 Pro and Find N users in the regions mentioned above can apply to become beta testers for ColorOS 13 public beta by going to * Settings > About device followed by tapping the top of the page, then tapping the top right icon. Go to the trial version, fill in the required details, then click Sign Up Now. Then the user will go to Update device on > Download now.
The Chinese company has also highlighted some known issues with the ColorOS 13 public beta. According to Oppo, the app icons showing glitches in some cases, unclear notifications from the notification bar, near-field communication (NFC) glitches in some situations, auto-adjust screen brightness is not responsive, and no prompts appear when the app has been removed from task manager. One of the themes was also said to be incompatible and the screen malfunctioned after sending a message via WhatsApp, according to the company.
