Our Absolutely Infallible Predictions About Hisui’s Form In Pokémon Legends: Arceus
Few Nintendo franchises spark as much speculation as a new Pokémon game. Ahead of its release, dozens of ‘new breezes’ were unleashed, setting headlines and the Pokémon community ablaze. Pokémon Legend: Arceus, though not the beginning of a new generation, aroused a similar enthusiasm when they showed new developments and a new form for Growlithe End of August. Kanto: Alakazam, Machamp or Gengar
Three of the early commercial developments, Alakazam, Machamp, and Gengar did not receive the love of the other members of their generation — except for the Mega Evolutions Game Freak bestowed upon Alakazam and Gengar nearly 10 years ago. . Johto: Raikou, Entei and Suicune
150 years before the events of Gold and Silver Pokémon, lightning struck the Brass tower in the city of Ecruteak. Ho-Oh then resurrects the Pokémon into Raikou, Entei, and Suicune, granting each the power of the lightning that strikes the tower, the flames consume it, and the water extinguishes the flames.
Some have speculated that the three dead Pokémon are Jolteon, Flareon, and Vaporeon, respectively, but it has never been confirmed. As these events unfolded in the ancient history of the Pokémon world, the original forms of the three legendary dogs that appeared in Hisui were not Farfetch’d.
Hoenn: Flygon
Fans have loved the Flygon since it was eliminated for a Mega Evolution. A form of Hisui that shifts around its stats and gives it a new type of typing, perhaps Bug/Ground or Bug/Dragon to better suit its insect form, which will do justice in the end. for the fan favorite that has lived in Salamence’s shadow since 2003.
Sinnoh: Mamoswine
Generation IV introduced third stage evolutions to a host of Pokémon, including Magnezone, Rhyperior, Porygon-Z, Electivire, Magmortar, and Mamoswine. A handful of these Pokémon or their pre-evolution have been spotted in the trailers, including Magmortar and Rhyperior, both of which have good guesses about Hisui form.
Of these, our predictive power surmises that Mamoswine will be Hisuified. Although the game doesn’t take place in an ice age, a giant Pokémon evolves knowing how to move Ancient Power in keeping with the theme.
Unova: Volcano
The Gen V type of pseudo-legendary bug makes it easy to predict. Its Pokédex entries say that the ancients feared it and called it ‘the wrath of the sun.’ It is also said to have rescued Pokémon that are suffering from the cold. What are two things we know Hisui has in abundance? That’s right – ancient people and cold weather.
What that Pokémon will look like, however, we can’t see in our Crystal Ball, as the Bug/Fire type is a perfect match for Volcarona. Perhaps Volcarona could fill the unused Fairy/Fire type, allowing its Bug typing to take a backseat in the same way that the Dragon type does for Gyarados and Charizard.
Kalos: Aegislash
The Pokémon Royal Sword is one of the iconic designs from Generation VI. Both thematically and aesthetically, Game Freak has given these Pokémon a lot of love. Aeglislash’s signature ability, Stance Change, was too unique not to see Hisui’s return.
But European swords don’t really fit in a world modeled on ancient Japan, do they? Aegislash has been redesigned to resemble a katana, and instead of Stance Change switching between sword and shield forms, Aegislash will switch between katana fighting styles such as Steel/Fighting.
That, or our inner anime fan, has clouded our prejudgment.
Alola: Passimian and Oranguru
We don’t know about you, but the US-inspired regions – Unova and Alola – are more home to a host of monkey-themed Pokémon than the Japanese-inspired regions (apart from Mankey and Chimchar) , is not suitable for us. Really, there aren’t any native monkeys in Hawaii, but Alola has two Pokémon monkeys!
This is not a prediction but more of a call for Game Freak to correct an unfortunate mistake.
Hisui deserves a few more primates. A swap between the types of the Passimian and Oranguru – Combat and Normal/Psychic – would make for an interesting change and help inhabit the forests of Hisui.
Galar: Duraludon and Dragapult
Like monkeys, the more types of Dragons in Hisui, the better. Our divination prowess tells us the historic Game Freak will return to both Generation VIII dragons the same way they did. revert Voltorb to Electric/Grass type to match Hisui’s ancient Pokéballs.
Hiking to the highest peaks of Mount Coronet, players will find Grass/Dragon Duraludon based on traditional thatched huts and a pure Dragon-type Dragapult. Probably.
Hisuian Starters’ Final Evolutions
While we know what Decidueye, Typhlosion, and Samurott look like, there’s little doubt that none of them were spotted in the trailer. Only base forms appear, leading us to speculate that these three will receive the first regional forms for the beginner Pokémon.
Combine that with our psychic powers, and we already know that Decidueye and Samurott will play more into their archer and samurai designs, while also getting secondary typologies to match. . A Grass/Dark Robin Hood-style archer? A Water/Steel samurai in full armor? Typhlosion is harder to take down. The bipedal ferret-like Pokémon looks like a warrior when the flaming fringes along its neck burn, so we think Game Freak will go that route.
Unfortunately, our vision of the future is clouded, so we can’t say for sure.
And that’s all areas and then some covered.
