Over 175 Crore COVID-19 vaccines administered


According to the ministry, India’s vaccination coverage has exceeded 1,75,03,86,834 with 36,28,578 doses of vaccine administered in the last 24 hours.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said: “New India, new record. India has surpassed historical figures in administering more than 175 doses of vaccines. The world’s largest immunization organization under the leadership of the United Nations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji’s leadership is reaching new heights and achieving new feats every day,” Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said in a tweet on Saturday.

Of the total doses administered to date, 1,04,00,492 healthcare workers received the first dose and 99,49,833 received the second dose. A total of 40,22,962 preventive doses have also been administered to healthcare workers to date.

A total of 1,84,07,428 frontline workers received the first dose, 1,74,111,477 doses of the vaccine were given the second dose, and 57,83,690 preventive doses were given to frontline workers.

According to the Ministry of Health, 55,00,31,980 doses of the vaccine were given the first dose and 43,42,94,627 doses of the vaccine were given the second dose for the 18-44 age group.

In the age group 45-59, a total of 20,19,86,306 people received the first dose and 17,80,23,333 people received the second dose. Also in the population over 60 years old, 12,61,61,897 doses of the first dose of vaccine and 11,09,06,468 doses of the second dose have been administered to date. A total of 88,93,489 doses of preventive medicine have also been made available to people over 60 years.
