Oxenfree is now available on Netflix Gaming
Netflix has been quietly building up its games business, and Oxenfree – a game about teenagers who accidentally open a ghost portal – is the latest title to join the lineup.
Oxenfree is a 2016 game by Night School Studio and its sequel Oxenfree II: Lost signal is set to release sometime in 2022. In GameSpot’s Reviews of Oxenfree, reviewer Alexa Ray Corriea praised the game for its unpredictable story and meaningful impact of various character choices. “Oxenfree is more than just a ghost story with an overlay like Monsters and Freaks,” says Corriea. “It’s a story about coping with loss, broken relationships, and the inflexibility that teenagers deal with sudden change, all in the midst of one alarmingly mystical encounter. move.”
Night School Studio is now owned by Netflix, so it’s no surprise that the game makes its way to the app. Apparently, Oxenfree II will also come to this service at some point in the future.
Netflix’s gaming section primarily offers mobile titles and boasts great titles like Into the Breach and Poinpy. Spiritfarer is another game that will be added to Netflix soon, and so far, the choice of titles makes Netflix the worthy rival of rivals like Apple Arcade.
