Paramount removes 44 positions amid marketing restructuring – The Hollywood Reporter

On November 15, Paramount Pictures joined forces with president of worldwide marketing and distribution Marc Weinstock to run a unified division that will handle all of the global efforts. As a result of the reorganization, 44 positions were eliminated in the marketing and distribution divisions.

In a memo sent to employees on Wednesday, Weinstock explained, “We had to make the difficult decision to eliminate a number of positions in our domestic and international marketing and distribution divisions. Internationally, as the new organization will also support territory offices in the future, the regional offices will focus solely on our distribution business.”

As part of the restructuring, evp Cameron Saunders, who oversees distribution and marketing for Europe, as well as the Middle East and Africa, will leave the company.

Recent studio releases include Clifford, the big red dog, which is released daily in cinemas and on the Paramount+ streaming service.

Today, we are announcing a series of strategic structural changes to our marketing and distribution operations worldwide that set us up for a more productive and collaborative future. globally, allowing us to grow further and be even more impactful in a rapidly changing market.

In order to achieve the complete integration of our Domestic and International Marketing teams, the following divisions will become the global team under the leadership of Danielle DePalma, EVP Global Marketing: Marketing Digital, Data Analytics and Brand Marketing & Strategy.

The report for Danielle will be:

Tamar Teifeld, Global Digital Marketing SVP
Adriana Trautman, SVP Global Brand Strategy & Marketing
Brice Tidwell, SVP Global Brand Strategy & Marketing
Jamal Salmon, SVP Global Data Analytics

Christine Benitez SVP, Multicultural Marketing, and DeDe Brown, Multicultural Public SVP, who run the marketing department’s cross-cultural efforts, will continue to report to Danielle and David Waldman, Inbound Public EVP, respectively. Karen Hermelin will continue as EVP’s Global Director of Marketing, Strategy & Insights.

In another significant move, Brian Pianko will expand his responsibilities as EVP’s Head of Creative Advertising, responsible for overseeing day-to-day creative operations for the department. He will report to Peter Giannascoli, who will now serve as President, Global Creative Marketing.

Reporting directly to Peter will be Jordan Park Peed, EVP International Creative Advertising and Marketing with Danielle Kupchak, EVP Global Creative Content; Craig Cox, EVP Post Production and Michele Bell, EVP Home Entertainment Creative Services.

Our global promotion function will continue to be led by Michelle Hagen, EVP Global Partnerships, who will work with Irene Trachtenberg, SVP International Promotion, to unite local and international resources to create new initiatives. A partner marketing campaign that supports a global mindset.

In this new structure, Mark Viane, President of International Distribution; Liz West, EVP Marketing Communications; and Rachel Cadden, EVP International Marketing are key members of my leadership team and will continue to report to me. And continuing to serve as key members of the executive team are: Chris Aronson, President of Domestic Theater Distribution; Faye Ugolnik, EVP Media; Ellen Martello, EVP Finance WW Theatrical Marketing; and Leonard Iannelli, SVP Special Projects & Events.

With this restructuring, we had to make the difficult decision to eliminate a number of positions in the domestic and international marketing and distribution divisions. Internationally, as the new organization will also support territorial offices in the future, the regional offices will focus solely on our distribution business. Unfortunately, Cameron Saunders, EVP EMEA will be leaving the company, while Richard Aseme and Yit-ching Lee, both VP, Distribution, EMEA, will lead the distribution efforts at EMEA. Ricardo Cortes, SVP Theatrical, LATAM & MD Mexico & Eugene Yang, SVP Theatrical, Asia-Pacific, remains the leading distributor for LATAM and the Asia-Pacific region.
