CHANDIGARH: Shiromani Akali Dal patriarch Parkash Singh Badal was admitted to a hospital In Mohali After complaining of gastritis and bronchial asthma, his condition is improving, according to a health update Sunday night.
Five times minister of Punjab was taken to Fortis hospital in Mohali on Saturday night.
The 94-year-old man was admitted to the hospital “with complaints of gastritis and bronchial asthma”, SAD said in a statement citing health updates from the hospital.
Appropriate treatment was provided. His condition is improving and all his parameters are normal, according to the health update.
On June 6, Badal was admitted to PGIMER here after he complained of stomach related problems. He was discharged the next day.
In February, he was taken to a private hospital in Mohali for a post-Covid checkup, during which he also had his heart and lungs checked.
Badal was discharged on January 24 from a hospital in Ludhiana, where he was admitted after he tested positive for Covid-19.
The SAD organization had previously been advised by doctors to opt for a two-week or three-week preventive checkup, especially after contracting Covid-19.
