Follow trailer release for Team Reptile’s funktastic Bomb Rush Cyberfunk back in 2021, we had a hard time waiting for the official release date. Today, however, we had to pause that funky music because the studio took to Twitter to announce that the game wouldn’t be released this year.

As noticed by people at VGCIn a heartfelt message conveying the developer’s desire for the game to be released in the best possible condition, Team Reptile has announced that the game’s release date will be pushed back to Summer 2023. – a very confusing extension on the original 2022 window.

Something of a spiritual successor to the Dreamcast Jet stationBomb Rush makes a drip into the punk graffiti and skate game of the 2000s, with a catchy soundtrack from Jet Set composer Hideki Naganuma.

Although witnessing a game being pushed back is never easy (we miss you War before), the team’s focus on getting the finished product in one, umcompleted status is always promising – much better than push-it-out-and-patch-it approach in our book.

Looks like we have some brand new visuals for the game dropping throughout the week, so that’s to be expected, at least. Continued upbeat music.
