Fayetteville, N.C – Fayetteville police are investigating a shooting Saturday night. Six people were beaten shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday in the Baymont Inn parking lot on Owen Drive.
William Franklin Davis Sr., 42, of Fayetteville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Keith Allan Dickey, 37, of Lumber Bridge, NC, and Donald Dillenbeck, 49, of Vestal, NY, both died later in hospital.
Three others are being treated for gunshot wounds that police describe as life-threatening.
A man who lives in the hotel told WRAL News, “I was in my room and I heard gunshots and I walked out onto the balcony. I saw about eight or nine men. They were shooting. One who was dropped right there by the dump.”
He said he saw several people involved leave the scene, including an injured person.
Police said they don’t believe the shooting was random, but they have not released any information on how the men may have known each other, any motives or what led up. gun shooting.
