“However, she will continue to be involved in tennis, the sport she loves so much.”
Terho said: “I am relieved to see that Peng Shuai is fine, that is our main concern. “She seemed comfortable. I’ve offered our support and kept in touch whenever it’s convenient for her, which she obviously appreciates.”
According to the IOC, Peng accepted an invitation to have dinner with Bach, Terho and Li when he visited Beijing in January ahead of the 2022 Winter Olympics.
