Pentagon cuts request for Lockheed F-35 by 35%

(Reuters) – Pentagon will request 61 F-35s from Lockheed Martin Corp (NYSE:) in the next budget, 33 less than previously planned, Bloomberg News reports https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-03-16/lockheed-s-tardy -f-35-is -hit-with-a-35-cut-in-2023-us-Budget on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Lockheed Martin did not immediately respond to Reuters’ request for comment.
