Pley Beauty is List in makeup form: vibrant, adventurous and planetary conscious. While naming a cosmetic brand is easy these days, List assures us she’s been involved every step of the way. That means interviewing and hiring the right team, participating in creative and product meetings, and ensuring the brand meets its beauty and beauty requirements. The latter is an important part of the branding for List and is one of the key things she believes sets Pley Beauty apart from the other celebs out there. “We want to make sure that our ingredients are ethically sourced and we are Leaping Bunny certified. It also involves avoiding more than 1500 ingredients that are on the “no” list for being bad for the environment. Plus, nearly all of the packaging is made from recycled materials. adds: “We think beauty should be fun and it should be something that we don’t harm anyone or anything by playing with it.

The fact that clean beauty is the exception and not an industry standard is a disappointing revelation for Cobra Kai actress in the shape of Beauty Pley. Even more so is the fact that clean beauty is often inaccessible. “Consumers just have so much power,” she told us. “If you go to CVS, that’s where you buy makeup and you only have a certain amount of money you can spend, and you want to move on and change. You really only have so much power.” Pley Beauty aims to serve that consumer with a product selection of $16 to $36.
