PGA Award for Sports, Children’s and Short Form Programs – The Hollywood Reporter
The Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced the winners of the outstanding sports program, outstanding children’s program, outstanding short-form program, and PGA Innovation Awards at the Celebration The association’s annual East Coast on March 14, is held at the Bryant Park Grill in New York City.
HBO documentary series First 100 waves won outstanding sports programming for the first season. The series, directed by Chris Smith, follows major surfer Garrett McNamara as he travels to Portugal with the goal of conquering the iconic surfing feat.
Disney + Halloween Special Muppets Haunted Mansion – starring Will Arnett, Darren Criss, Taraji P. Henson, Ed Asner, Danny Trejo, Yvette Nicole Brown and Pat Sajak along with a furry cast of Muppet players – took home the show’s award excellent for children.
Apple Music’s fourth season Carpool Karaoke: The Seriesa subsection of the hugely popular segment from The Late Late Show with James Corden, won for outstanding short-form show. The fourth season features guests Maya Rudolph, HAIM, Keegan-Michael Key, Rob Gronkowski, siblings Patricia and David Arquette, as well as Shark Tank entrepreneurs and investors Mark Cuban, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John and Kevin O’ Leary.
Rear group For All Mankind: Time Capsule won the PGA Innovation Award, which celebrates outstanding entertainment efforts across VR, AR, experiences, and other emerging mediums.
