Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has only been four days, but already 500,000 Ukrainians have become refugees, based on United Nations Refugee Agency. Ukrainians are fleeing by foot, train and car to neighboring countries. Many are enduring long journeys, jostling and long queues at train stations and borders, with limited access to food and shelter. With European countries welcoming many refugees, people quickly call out the stark difference treatment of Ukrainian refugees towards Afghan and Syrian refugees, who are frequently subjected to racial discrimination.
