Pierrefonds, Que., students raise more than $30,000 in name of Terry Fox – Montreal
They began their efforts in April and on Sept. 29, college students at Terry Fox Elementary in Pierrefonds, Que., walked or ran greater than 8,000 kilometres — greater than the space throughout Canada from east to west — within the title of the Canadian legendary marathoner.
The work they did actually paid off. The college raised $30, 120 in funds for most cancers analysis in honour of Terry Fox’s legacy.
