Flight simulation game Pilotwings 64 will launch Nintendo Switch Online on October 13, Nintendo announced on Thursday. Like other Nintendo 64 games, it’s only for Level expansion pack subscribers. Pilotwings 64 originally launched in 1996 for the Nintendo 64 – it was one of the two launch the game, along with Super Mario 64, in North America – and there are various methods of flight, including jet and hovercraft. Players choose one of six characters, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, all of which compete for a pilot’s license. And when that smooth and seductive voice mentioned shooting giant robots joined in. This is the first official re-release of the game.
Pilotwings 64 on Nintendo Switch Online first announced in Nintendo Direct September 13along with a bunch of other old games like GoldenEye 007the first three Mario Party games, Snowboarding 1080ºand Pokémon Stadium and Pokémon Stadium 2. Access Pilotwings 64 or any other Nintendo 64 game will require a Nintendo Switch, a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, and an Expansion Pack add-on. The guy who voiced the hot trailer is not included.
Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack costs $49.99 annually for an individual user and $79.99 annually for a family plan (for up to eight users). Nintendo Switch Online’s higher price tier also grants access to Sega Genesis games, as well as Happy Home Paradise add-ons for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe‘S Course Enhancement Cardand Splatoon 2‘S Expansion Octo.
