PlayStation State Of Play Coming March 9, will focus on Japanese games

Sony announced the next Playstation status of Play The event takes place tomorrow, March 9, and it will focus on Japanese-published games on both PS4 and PS5. The 20-minute presentation will include new gameplay reveals along with updates on previously announced titles.

How to watch PlayStation State of Play

PlayStation State of Play, essentially Sony’s during Nintendo Direct presentations, will be available to peruse YouTube and Twitch. The process begins at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET and will take approximately 20 minutes. Other time zones are included below:

  • 2 p.m. PT
  • 4 p.m. CT
  • 5 p.m. ET
  • 10pm GMT
  • 9 a.m. ACT (March 10)

What to expect

The 20-minute run mainly focuses on games from Sony’s Japanese publishing partners for both PS4 and PS5, although Sony says a number of other partners from around the world will also be in attendance. This could mean updates on games like Final Fantasy XVI, though of course, it’s still unclear what the unannounced games will be like. What we won’t see is more information about PSVR 2– either hardware or games – so we should expect more news on that at a later date.
