NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday announced the country Icon cast on the new roof Parliament Building.
Officials said the icon was made of bronze with a total weight of 9,500 kg and a height of 6.5 meters.

They said it was cast on top of the central foyer of the new Parliament building and a steel support structure weighing around 6,500 kg was built to support the symbol.
Modi also contacted the workers involved in the construction of the new Parliament.
The concept sketch and casting process for the national emblem on the roof of the new Parliament went through eight different stages of preparation, from clay prototyping and computer graphics to bronze casting and polishing, they said.
