Poco announced the appointment of Himanshu Tandon as Head of Poco India on Monday, June 6. Tandon is one of the founding team members of Poco India. He is declared a holder of the Guinness Book of World Records for most simultaneous store launches. Poco India also revealed that it is expanding its aftermarket reach to more than 2,000 centers across India. The Xiaomi-owned brand also confirmed that a new Poco F series smartphone will launch globally soon. Last week, on June 3, the company also revealed the global launch date of the Poco C40.
Poco India shared a tweet confirmed that a new F series smartphone will be hitting the global market soon. Not like Poco F4 GTrecently launched in April as a phone geared towards gaming, this new F series phone will fulfill everyday needs. This smartphone has been said to offer excellent battery life along with a vibrant display and sound setup.
Recently report hinting that this upcoming F-series phone could be the Poco F4. A Poco smartphone bearing the model number 22021211RG has been spotted on the Geekbench 5 database. It is expected to be the Poco F4, possibly with a Snapdragon 870 octa-core SoC paired with 8GB of RAM. It is said to run on Android 12 with MIUI 13 skin on top. Furthermore, the Poco 22021211RG has also appeared on the US FCC certification website, where it is said to have a 4,400mAh battery. However, it will most likely come with a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. Its Indian variant with model number 22021211RI also visited the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification site.
In related news, the Poco C40 is set to launch globally on June 16. You’ll be able to stream its launch event online via the company’s official Facebook page, YouTube channel, and Twitter handle. The company has not revealed the specifications of this smartphone. Recently report suggests that the Poco C40 could be powered by the entry-level JLQ JR510 SoC. It is expected to run on the rumored MIUI Go.
