You’ve seen art prices skyrocket. Watches are included in that luxury sector, which is crazy because people are having a hard time, and it’s a tough time financially for a lot of people.

The rich are just trying to use their money wisely, and the value of watches over the past few years has gone insane. This goes deep into the consumer experience. Walk into any Rolex store in the world, and the shelves are empty. I’m not even exaggerating.

I think the reason why this is so is because Rolex has a good number of returning VIP customers. Before the watches had a chance to go on sale in stores, they were hounded by people on waiting lists or returning customers.
