Pokémon go There’s a Chespin Community Day event on January 7 from 2-5 pm your local time.

As expected with a Community Day event, Chespin will appear in large numbers, with a high probability that it will appear shiny. There are also some other bonuses and perks that we list below.

How to catch a shiny Chespin?

According to research conducted by the Pokémon community site The Silph RoadThe odds of shiny on Community Day are around 1 in 24, which means that if you keep playing over the three-hour period, you’ll find quite a few shiny Pokémon.

If you’re short on time or Poké Balls, you can pop a Smellthen quickly touch each Chespin to check the shiny ones, run from any non-shiny ones. Notably, any Chespins you’ve touched will face where your player is standing, so that will help determine which Chespins you might have checked.

What did Chespin’s evolution learn on Community Day?

If you evolve Quilladin into Chesnaught between 2pm and 10pm your local time, it will learn the charged move Frenzy Plant.

If you miss evolving it during this time, you can evolve it during the December Community Day weekend event to get a Frenzy Plant. If you don’t want to wait, you can use a elite TM to get moving.

How does Chesnaught do in the meta?

Chesnaught is a great PvE raid attacker. While it’s behind picks like Roserade and most Legendary Pokémon, it would be well worth getting a strong one to raid. Set it up with Vine Whip and Frenzy Plant for success.

Chesnaught works pretty well in PvP, and the addition of Frenzy Plant means it can take out more targets that would cause trouble in different tournaments. Set it up with Vine Whip and Frenzy Plant with Superpower to deal some serious damage.

How to make the most of Chespin Community Day?

The following rewards will be available during Chespin Community Day:

• ^first⁄₄ Hatching distance for eggs placed in the Incubator during the event
• Double candy to catch Pokémon
• Doubles chance for trainers level 31 and above to get XL candy when catching Pokémon
• Perfume lasts three hours
• Three-hour attraction module
• Chespin photobomb special when taking snapshots
• Add a special deal
• Stardust costs halved for transactions

That said, you should Hatch your Eggs and use Incense and try to get some powerful Chespins.

If you can super evolution Venusaur, Sceptile or Abomasnowyou will score more Chespin Candy for each catch.

In addition to all of this, Niantic is still doing special four-star raids from 5-10pm where if you complete the Quilladin raid, Chespin will spawn within a 300 meter radius around the room. exercise for 30 minutes. These attacks cannot be performed remotely. If the usual 2-5pm spawn count doesn’t give you the Chespin you want, you can try raiding for another chance.
