Pokémon GoCommunity Day July 2022 focuses on Starly, normal and flying Pokémon. Starly Community Day will have a massively increased spawn rate for Starly, with an increased chance to find Shiny versions of it, as well as a special move for its evolution that Staraptor can learn .

The Community Day event takes place on July 17, 2022 from 11am to 2pm your local time.
As usual with all Community Days, you can buy one Dear Community Day Ticket with $1 to unlock extra Special Research Missions, extra Starly and candy prizes.
How do I find a Shiny Starly?
Community Day events have a higher Shine rate for featured Pokémon, so if you’re playing you should be able to find some Shiny.
If you don’t have time to play all day, you can find a Shiny Starly by choosing one Smell and touch each Starly that pops up. The Shiny rate on Community Day is approx 1 in 25, According to research by The Silph Roadso you should quickly find a Shiny Starly.

What’s Starly’s doing on Community Day? chemical evolution?
Evolve Starly into Staraptor on July 17 from 11am to 7pm your local time to get the Quick Attack Gust.
Based on previous years, if you missed the Community Day period, you’ll be able to grow your Starly during the December Community Weekend event to get started. You can also use a Elite TM to teach moves just for Legacy Community Day.
How does Staraptor do in battle?
Staraptor has very little relevance in PvE and PvP. Using it in PvP would be a niche option and probably not worth the investment.
If you like using Staraptor in PvE raid content, you can set it up with Gust and Brave bird, but it is far superior to other flying types such as Moltres and Yveltal. Plus, the flying type is rarely used in raids, as there aren’t many bug or battle type Pokémon to attack. In either case, you will usually use other counters, such as psychic or fire types.
How to make the most of Dear Community Day?
During the Community Day event, XP gained from catching Pokémon will be tripled and candies captured will be doubled. You can use Lucky Eggs to increase your XP even more. Incense and Bait will also last for three hours, so you should use those to increase Starly’s spawn even further.
If you have the resources to Mega Evolution Aerodactyl, Pidgeot, Charizard (Y), Kangaskhan or Lopunny you will also get an extra Starly Candy for each catch as a result of normal typing or flying.
