Police Are Investigating A Shooting At DaBaby’s Mansion (Updated)
A shooting at DaBaby’s The Troutman, NC mansion on Wednesday night singled out the injured as the trespasser.
WSCO reporter Dave Faherty confirmed that police are still investigating the shooting at DaBaby’s mansion. Reports confirm that the person who was shot at the mansion was not a guest. The property has over 8.5 acres of land. Realtors valued the building at nearly $2.3 million.
The sheriff believes the suspect jumped over the fence to get the property. Authorities confirmed the shooting injured one person. Police found the injured person on the football field just outside DaBaby’s mansion. Detectives investigating the incident said there were no signs of trespassing around the property.
Police did not release information about the victim’s identity. A hospital in Charlotte treated the unnamed individual with non-life-threatening injuries. During the time of the incident, another person was in the mansion with the rapper. The officers did not disclose their names, nor did they disclose whether any charges will be filed. However, they say a gun was seized.
DaBaby solves shooting incident at his mansion
While it’s unclear if DaBaby was the shooter, he seems to have responded to the incident on his Instagram story, writing,
“The media say ni***’s business is the main reason we’re interested in ni***s.”
DaBaby has a history of protecting himself and his family. Previously, in March 2019, a judge dropped charges against DaBaby following a deadly shooting at Huntersville, NC, Walmart. Authorities say DaBaby shot and killed 19-year-old Jalyn Craig during an altercation inside the store in November 2018. DaBaby had previously spoken out about the incident.
The rapper dodged the crime of carrying a concealed gun in the case.
