Police of St. Louis said, 63 years old died after a roommate poured hot cooking oil on her

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) – A 65-year-old woman has been taken into custody after allegedly pouring hot cooking oil on her roommate at a assisted living center in the northern St. Louis.

According to police, officers found 63-year-old Doren Davis with severe burns inside Smiley House on Thekla Avenue, Walnut Park East, shortly before 1 p.m. on March 7. Davis’ roommate was injured. allegedly poured hot cooking oil on her after the dispute. a personal matter, investigators said.

The 65-year-old was arrested and is being held at the Missouri Department of Corrections. Davis was hospitalized with burns but later passed away on Sunday.
