Back in 2020, we asked you in a poll What games would you most like to see return from the previous generation of Nintendo consoles for an encore on the Switch. Since then, we’ve seen some great games from that selection make the leap for generations, including The Wonderful 101: Remastered and Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water.
It’s easy to believe that the Switch has picked the Wii U clean. If you’re like us and wish more people got their hands on treasures from the Wii U years – or you’ve missed them and want to try them out on Switch – there are some delicious treats waiting to be devoured and we’ve rounded them up for you
Below you’ll find big-name Wii U games that haven’t made the Switch along with scores based on ‘Port Probability’. Some have been rumored, others are still pipe dreams, and others should probably be left alone.
So, let’s take a look at the most recent Wii U games and see which games are most likely to appear on the Switch.
Publishing company: Nintendo / Developers: Soft monolith
With Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is already part of the Switch library, so completing the series will also make some sense. In our January 2020 poll This is the third most voted game you want to see make a leap.
Port switching probability: 5/10 – We’d love to see this come to Switch. Love and cherish arrive. But unless Nintendo is desperate for another massive RPG, it looks less likely than others on this list. More, Monolith Soft is busy helping with the new Zelda gameand there is also the problem Xenoblade Chronicles 3so we would imagine that it’s ready for that.

An enjoyable game that, if anything goes wrong, on the Wii U we wouldn’t mind seeing a streamlined Deluxe port of this. It will be a different game on the Switch thanks to the use of the GamePad and the controls, which, for some, proved difficult to master. However, the Switch still lacks the Star Fox division, and if there’s one first-party game on this list that could really benefit from a second pass, it’s probably this one.
Port switching probability: 4.9 / 10 – From Nintendo’s point of view, we’re not convinced that the company sees enough appetite for another Star Fox game, and the heavy players from the Mario and Zelda series on this list will definitely go ahead. Star Fox Zero in the Switch port queue. Not impossible, sure, but unlikely.

This combination of Wii U eShop titles NES Remix and NES Remix 2 may not set the world on fire, but it’s a fun little pack of nostalgia that we wouldn’t mind seeing them come to life. With a big selection of NES . games available to play on consoles via a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, it seems unlikely we’ll see games like NES Remix Pack again, but strange things happened.
Port switching probability: 3/10 – Not likely.

Color not everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s a beautiful entry, like a worker in a beloved series, and an encore on Switch could make more sense if it weren’t for an invasion of Origami…
Port switching probability: 2.62 / 10 – Before notice and quickly arrive Paper Mario: The King of Paper Folding, we could have given this a 50/50 chance. However, it is now less likely that we will see the Wii U entry return.

Mario’s dinosaur friend captivated Switch owners with Yoshi’s Crafting Worldand while it is safe to say that these sheets are starting to lose their shine, fans of dyeing in wool certainly won’t object to having them. Yoshi’s Wool World Switch gates, if only for another chance to discover those adorable Yarn Yoshi amiibo once again.
Port switching probability: 5/10 – It was the most fun to see Yarn Yoshi again on Switch, even though Nintendo has no shortage of cute platformer parts. Personally, we’d love to see an HD rebuild of a Kirby’s Epic Yarn.

One of two HD remakes in the Zelda franchise, Twilight Princess HD is a great version of the Zelda adventure very firmly in the traditional mold. For Wii U owners who replayed in 2016, there’s no reason to return so soon – and with Skyward Sword HD on Switch, there may be less chance of seeing this. However, it would be a shame if this HD update wasn’t made more widely available, wouldn’t it?
Port switching probability: 6/10 – TPHD would be a welcome addition to the Switch’s library, and we’re all making the Zelda game available on as many platforms as possible. Speaking of which…

We’d love to see this Wii U remaster transition to the Switch in Deluxe form, and bonus points if it comes with an optional toggle button to toggle between the HD version’s lovely, bright lights and a ‘flatter’ image ‘ but no less endearing of the GameCube original. We like both and the possibilities for swapping between each style are huge.
Port switching probability: 6/10 – Same as above, really. The more people who can access this page, the better.

With the success of Animal Crossing: New Horizons Undoubtedly, driving sales of this low-priced favorite crate (due to Isabelle amiibo and the cards it comes with), it’s one of those first-party titles we don’t know. want to see you again. It’s as dull as dishwashing liquid, and the Wii U deserves better.
Port switching probability: 1/10 – Maybe a free download? Then we can get it…if it doesn’t take up too much space on our Micro SD card.
Publishing company: Ubisoft / Developers: Ubisoft Montpellier
Ubisoft’s launch game was a pleasant surprise and one of the few games that actually utilizes the Wii U GamePad in innovative and fun ways that affect gameplay.
Port switching probability: 2/10 – Zombies was ported to other non-second screen viewing platforms, although it did not attract much interest from players the second time around. Honestly, Ubisoft has more important things to do on Switch than relive the sales disappointment from 2012 for the second time. Is not.

While it’s nowhere near the top of the ‘classic Sonic games’ list, Sonic Lost World Nor is it near the end – a pretty big achievement when you consider the back catalog of the blue 3D game. We like Sonic, we quite like this… Not impossible!
Port switching probability: 3/10 – If Sonic Lost World is a worldwide success, we’ve already seen the Switch port. As it is, we’ve got Sound Color: Ultimate and SEGA has plans for him in Sonic Frontiersso we would be surprised if they visit Lost World again.
