Update Kia Seltos Small SUVs will hit showrooms this month, with driving prices increasing from $2220 to $2900.

The Seltos now starts at $31,690 driving for entry level Seltos S 2.0 FWDand extended to $47,690 driving for the leader GT-Line 1.6T AWD.

There’s still a choice of naturally aspirated 2.0-liter and 1.6-liter four-cylinder engines, though the latter has 16kW more power than the former and omits the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic to switch between the two. to an eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

The turbo continues to be offered exclusively in Sport+ and GT-Line guise.

In addition to powertrain updates, the Seltos offers more safety features as standard for 2023. The standard S version comes with blind-spot assist, rear cross-traffic assist, and Speed Limit Assist. Smart and Lane Keeping Assist – the previous Safety Pack option has been removed.

Furthermore, all models receive rear vents and USB-C charging ports. Previously, only the flagship GT-Line offered rear ventilation.

Traditional analog gauges are gone with the updated Seltos range, with the base S version receiving a ‘basic’ digital instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch display and Sport, Sport+ and The GT-Line gets dual 10.25-inch screens.

There’s also a redesigned climate control panel.

The Seltos is the second model in the brand’s Australian lineup to feature Kia Connect online services, standard at Sport level and up.

The seven-year free subscription offers “customers benefits in terms of safety, security, convenience, connectivity, and direct service using a telecommunications system for real-time data transmission, such as weather and traffic information” – read more about Kia Connect here.

Outside, the Seltos now features updated headlight graphics, a “bigger and bolder” front grille as well as revised bumpers.

The GT-Line version features a new LED headlight design with the signature ‘star map’ as described by Kia, as well as a combined LED taillight cluster.

All models get alloy wheels as standard (new to the Seltos S), with the Sport, Sport+ and GT-Line models getting the new engine-finished design.

Seven colors are offered across the entire lineup, including the new Pluton Blue finish. The Starlight Yellow color of the upcoming models has been dropped, while the Clear White and Pluton Blue colors are only available with the Fusion Contrast Black roof exclusive to the Seltos GT-Line.

Powertrain

The 2.0 liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine Switch from pre-update and production model 110kW power and 180Nm of torque. It is available across the entire range.

The engine is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT), which sends power to the front wheels only.

The 1.6 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine also brought over but now produced 146kW and 265Nm, 16kW higher than the outgoing model. It is only available on Sport+ and GT-Line trim levels.

The turbocharged engine is now mated to a torque-converting eight-speed automatic instead of the included dual-clutch, with an all-wheel drive system.

Effective

Kia Seltos 2023 used 6.9L / 100km on the ADR combined cycle with the 2.0 liter engine and 7.4L / 100km with 1.6 liter turbocharged engine.

All models have a 50 liter fuel tank and can run on at least 91 RON unleaded gasoline.

Size

Kia Seltos measured at 4385mm Long, 1800mm wide, and up to 1635mm tall, with a 2630mm The standard long.

Boot space varies depending on whether there is a space-saving or full-size spare wheel. The S-level version is the only model to receive a space-saving spare wheel.

Kia Seltos 2023 is covered by a seven-year, unlimited km warrantywith seven years of limited-price service and up to eight years of roadside assistance if you have your vehicle serviced at an authorized Kia dealer.

Kia Australia has yet to detail limited service pricing for the updated Seltos range.

Safety

The Kia Seltos was crash tested by ANCAP in 2019 and it received a five-star safety rating.

It received an adult protection score of 85%, a child protection score of 83%, a vulnerable pedestrian protection score of 61% and a safety assist score of 70%.
