Prince Andrew’s accuser claims she is a US resident

NEW YORK – The woman’s lawyers say Prince Andrew sexually abused her when she was 17, asserting in a court filing Thursday that she was a US resident despite the laws The prince’s monk said the opposite.

Virginia Giuffre’s attorneys filed their responses to papers earlier this week in which Andrew’s lawyers say she actually lives in Australia, where she has resided all but two in number 19 years ago.

The prince’s attorneys said the lawsuit she filed in August in Manhattan federal court in which she claims the prince sexually abused her multiple times in 2001 will not proceed until when determining whether she is eligible for residency to file a lawsuit against the United States.

They asked a judge to file a multi-reason lawsuit, saying the prince never sexually assaulted Giuffre.

The prince’s lawyer, Andrew Brettler, called the lawsuit “baseless.”

However, Giuffre’s attorneys called the actions of Andrew’s lawyers to temporarily halt the progress of the case towards trial a “transparency attempt to delay the discovery of documents and testimony.” his own.”

They said the prince has stated that he has no documents that would satisfy the majority of requests made by Giuffre’s lawyers, including any communications with British social media site Ghislaine Maxwell or late financier Jeffrey Epstein or in connection with his travels to Florida, New York or various other London locations.

And they said he also denied having documents proving he was not physically able to sweat, an alibi he gave in a media interview.

Regarding the client’s place of residence, they indicated her residence was in Colorado, where her mother resided, and noted that she was registered to vote there. They said those facts and additional evidence established her Colorado citizenship.

A notice seeking comment has been sent to attorneys for the prince.

Maxwell, 60, was convicted Wednesday of sex trafficking and conspiracy charges after a month-long trial. Her lawyers have argued that she was made a scapegoat by the US government after Epstein committed suicide in federal custody in Manhattan in August 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

Maxwell was arrested a year later.
