“When I was young, [my brother Prince] Harry and me, we’re in boarding school,” said William, according to Town & Country. “And my mother used to play all kinds of songs to get rid of the anxiety of going back to school. And one of those songs that I miss so much and stuck with me all this time, and I still do to this day. . is quite secretly enjoyable, is ‘The Best’ by Tina Turner because sitting in the backseat, singing and feeling like a real family moment.”
He continued, “And my mother, she would drive along, singing in her high-pitched voice. And we would even put the policeman in the car, and he would sing along from time to time. You’d be like So sing and listen to music right from the school gate, when they see you off … Now listening to it again, I feel like going back to those buses and recalling a lot of memories about my mother.”
