Quavo performs emotional song to take off

The 31-year-old musician performed a tribute to his nephew and late The Migos band member, Takeoff, at the 65th Grammy Awards.
The rapper performed a version of his tribute song “Without You,” reflecting the loss of his former collaborator. He was accompanied by the Maverick City Music choir which helped him sing emotionally;

When I see you in heaven, I will be with my dawg
Quavo keeps the Takeoff series on stage at the Grammys
The song was released on January 5, with a music video showing Quavo smoking marijuana while listening to the track. Quavo expresses grief over Takeoff’s death in the song and longs for the time machine to bring him back.
During the tribute, Quavo held Takeoff’s necklace in front of him.

He also mentioned their brief collaboration with the line “Unc and Phew till the end.”

Takeoff was tragically killed on November 1, 2022, at the age of 28, at a Houston site called 810 Billiards & Bowling. He was with Quavo at the time of the incident, which involved a melee that led to the shooting.
Takeoff suffered gunshot wounds to the head, torso, and arms, and was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:30 a.m.
