Quebec municipal election results: Côte Saint-Luc – Montreal
A contentious marketing campaign in Côte Saint-Luc has ended with the re-election of Mayor Mitchell Brownstein.
Brownstein received with round 62 per cent of the vote whereas his opponent, David Tordjman, completed with slightly below 38 per cent.
Lior Azerad, of Workforce Tordjman, received the council seat in District 6, beating the opposite candidate, Jeffrey Kovac. A recording of Kovac attacking Tordjman surfaced in early October, however Kovac later apologized.
Azerad was the one candidate from Workforce Tordjman who received his district.
Andee Shuster received District 8, getting twice the variety of votes as the opposite two candidates mixed.
The councillor seats for the opposite six districts had been all received by their incumbent councillors. Mike Cohen for District 2 and Steven Erdelyi for District 4 had been acclaimed.
Brownstein’s priorities for the municipality embody making a COVID-19 protected metropolis, changing lead pipes and dealing on the Cavendish extension.
